Overview

Kawaii Ehon is a children's audiobook app. We designed the app to use as little data as possible: no account is required, we do not run third-party advertising or analytics SDKs, and Apple handles in-app purchases through the App Store. This policy explains what information may be processed when you use the app or contact us.

Information We Process

• No account data: The app does not require registration, login, or a user profile.
• Content delivery requests: When the app loads book catalog data, images, or audio from our backend, our infrastructure may receive technical request data such as IP address, device or browser headers, and timestamps. We use this only to deliver content, secure the service, and prevent abuse.
• Subscriptions: Subscription purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store and StoreKit. We do not receive your full payment card details.
• Support messages: If you email us, we receive your email address and the contents of your message so we can respond and provide support.
• On-device storage: Downloaded books, images, and audio are stored locally on your device for offline reading and playback.
• No sensitive permissions: The app does not request access to contacts, photos, camera, microphone, or precise location for its core functionality.

How We Use Information

We use information only to operate the app, deliver content, process and restore subscriptions through Apple, answer support requests, maintain security, and diagnose service issues. We do not use personal information to serve ads or build behavioral profiles.

Children's Privacy

Kawaii Ehon is intended for children and families. We do not knowingly ask children to provide personal information in the app. If a parent or guardian believes a child has provided us personal information through a support email or another direct communication, they can contact us and we will delete it if required.

Sharing and Service Providers

• Apple: Apple processes payments, subscription renewals, and restore flows for in-app purchases.
• Cloudflare and Supabase: We use infrastructure providers to deliver book content and operate the backend securely.

We do not sell personal information and we do not use third-party advertising or cross-app tracking.

Data Retention and Deletion

• Downloaded books and audio remain on your device until you delete the app or remove the local files.
• Support emails are kept only as long as reasonably necessary to respond, troubleshoot, and maintain support records.
• Technical server logs are retained only for operational and security purposes, then deleted or rotated according to provider retention settings.

Because the app does not create user accounts, there is generally no account profile for us to provide, correct, or delete. If you contacted us by email and want that correspondence deleted, email us at the address below.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of any material changes by posting the new policy on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
